The Thaqalayn Muslim Association of UofT Scarborough (TMA UTSC), Thaqalayn Muslim Association of York University (TMA York), Imam Mahdi Youth (IMY), the Office of Majid Jowhari, Member of Parliament for Richmond Hill, the Afghan Youth Committee (AYC), and the Afghan Committee for Empowerment (ACE) have organized their FREE second Annual Mental Health Conference which will take place this Saturday, January 26th.

Canadian Iranian Professor Homa Hoodfar teaches in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University. She has been in the notorious Evin prison in Iran for over three months without charge supposedly under investigation for "dabbling in feminism and security matters". Her students and fellow academics, as well as friends and human rights activists have been rallying to see her set free.
