The Ottawa Muslim Association is holding an all-candidate townhall with the Federal Election candidates for the riding of Ottawa Centre.

On June 22, 2019, a sold-out crowd of over 1,000 were joined by 70+ elected officials, media representatives, and personalities such as Toronto Raptors Superfan, Nav Bhatia and CEO of Paramount Foods Mohamad Fakih at the Canadian Muslim Vote (TCMV) Eid Dinner in Toronto, Ontario.

TORONTO, ON - Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will address The Canadian-Muslim Vote’s (TCMV) annual Eid Dinner on Friday, June 21, 2019. Deputy Leader of the Opposition Lisa Raitt and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will also be addressing the event.

The Canadian-Muslim Vote, a non-profit, non-partisan organization increasing democratic engagement within the Muslim community, held a very well-attended Visit My Mosque Day across Canada on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Several mosques across the country welcomed the public to get to know their Muslim neighbours. Attendees included elected officials such as MP’s, MPP’s, and municipal officials.

Selected leaders of Muslim organizations based in Ottawa or Toronto but with a national focus attended a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Caucus on Tuesday, June 19.

Getting educated on party platforms and election issues is tough and time consuming no matter when you do it.

During Ramadhan, we know it's even harder.

So the Canadian Muslim Vote (TCMV) interviewed each of the party leaders, to ask them questions about the provincial issues that you told us were the most important to you, via the pre-election Provincial Issues Survey.

Muslim Link is quite excited about the number of Muslim Canadians running in this federal election.

The IMPACT initiative is multi-partisan, grassroots project based in Toronto, whose aim is to educate Canadian Muslim youth in the political process and its vital importance, provide training in how to get involved on-the-ground, and empower them to recruit and lead their own team of volunteers.

The deadline for their fellowship for Canadian Muslim youth between the ages of 16 to 25 who wish to be involved during the Federal Election is Wednesday, July 22nd. You can apply online here.
