Politicians and community leaders cut the cake at a Canada Day community celebration held at Strathcona Park on July 1, 2013.
Over a hundred community members took part in the festivities, which included donated ethnic food, Indonesian performances, a trivia game and children's activities. The event was organized by the Muslim Coordinating Council of National Capital Region (MCCNCR), along with several other local Muslim organizations.
