(Ajax, Ontario) We are horrified, though not shocked, that a person attempted to set a Muslim woman wearing a hijab on fire in the town of Ajax, Ontario.

As we [Canadian Council of Muslim Women CCMW] witness the harrowing brutality of the genocide unfolding in Palestine, we cannot help but confront a deeply unsettling reality: we are watching in real time as human lives are devastated, entire communities erased, and the suffering of countless people ignored by those who should be defending them.

In collaboration with the Anti-hate Community Leaders Group, the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) has launched an App for children and youth to combat online hate.

London, Ontario June 1, 2023 The Ontario government is investing $500,000 to support the City of London in implementing new programs to fight hate and racism in their communities. The new funding will help the city launch a print and digital public education campaign, as well as an online library of anti-hate resources, including guides, videos and bystander tips.
