We Do Belong: ISNA Canada Speaks with Amira Elghawaby, Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia on the Third Anniversary of the London Terror Attack
Written by ISNA Canada[ISNA Canada] sat down with Amira Elghawaby - Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia of Canada to discuss the rise of Islamophobia.
Despite the horrific attack against the Afzal family, Islamophobia continues to be on the rise - increasing by a 1000% over the last 8 months.
It’s important to continue combatting hate wherever and whenever we find it, and that includes reporting any Islamophobia incidents that we may come across.
We are also urging the provincial government to pass the London Family Act which serves to combat Islamophobia in the province and prevents further attacks.
