The Canadian Muslim Vote, MPs, and Others Have Been Denied Entry Into The West Bank
Written by The Canadian Muslim VoteDec 16th, 2025 (Ottawa, Canada) Today, members of the [The Canadian Muslim Vote] TCMV team were denied entry into the West Bank while attempting entry at the border.
TCMV had hoped to lead a delegation that includes several Members of Parliament and other community leaders from Canada to witness firsthand the situation in the settlements and to meet with Palestinian and international voices on the ground.
All members are safe and will unfortunately be making their way back into Jordan and then eventually to Canada after this denial of entry.
"We are all deeply disturbed and saddened by this latest development,” said Umair Ashraf, Executive Director. “It is deeply disappointing that the Israeli authorities have decided to not grant us access. ETAs were issued to all delegates by the Israelis and then lawful observers were denied. We are saddened but not surprised by the decision of the Israeli government to prevent a tour from Canadian Members of Parliament.”
The delegation was planning to meet with a number of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian advocates and community representatives, from Jerusalem, to Jenin, to Hebron, to various refugee camps, and beyond.
The delegation has already spent one day in Jordan meeting parliamentarians and visiting the refugee camps in Jordan.
The denial of entry into the region for Canadian MPs should raise concern for all Canadians.
