We are a group of Somali-Canadian youth that are concerned with the current drought in Somalia and the issues that the drought has the potential to aggravate. We were brought together with the common goal of raising awareness regarding this situation and raising funds for relief.
We will be organizing multiple events with the intention of raising awareness of the drought in Somalia and raising funds to supply clean water to drought-affected villages. Local Somali Canadian university students have come together to organize a fundraising iftar to raise awareness and money to help people impacted by the drought and famine in Somalia. The iftar takes place on June 7.
