Demand Canada Investigate Canadian IDF Members under Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act

Canadians who served with the IDF must be investigated under the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act.

This House of Commons petition, sponsored by Member of Parliament Heather McPherson, calls for the investigation and for enforcement of the Foreign Enlistment Act, which prohibits recruitment or inducement for foreign armed forces from within Canada.

The Foreign Enlistment Act states that “any person who, within Canada, recruits or otherwise induces any person or body of persons to enlist or to accept any commission or engagement in the armed forces of any foreign state or other armed forces operating in that state is guilty of an offence.”
