Sakeenah Canada is a national charitable organization that was founded in 2018 in response to a gap in culturally and religiously sensitive services available for Muslim women and children facing domestic violence and homelessness.

Our services expanded to include 'The People’s Market'—a community food bank combating food insecurity, mental health therapy, child & youth program remote casework, anti-human trafficking program, and community educational programs for everyone.

We now operate 8 transitional housing shelters for Muslim women and children across Canada in Toronto, Brampton, Ottawa, London, Montreal, Winnipeg, Newfoundland, and Windsor. And 2 food banks located in Toronto and Mississauga.
