
Ummah Society Event Planning Manager

We are seeking a passionate and highly organized Event Planning Manager to lead and coordinate meaningful events that strengthen our community, promote education, and support our charitable initiatives.
Position Summary
The Event Planning Manager will be responsible for organizing and executing a wide range of events, including religious programs, community gatherings, educational seminars, fundraising initiatives, and cultural celebrations. This role requires strategic planning, budget management, and collaboration with internal teams, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution in alignment with Ummah Society’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement event strategies that reflect the values and mission of Ummah Society.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics for events such as religious celebrations, fundraising campaigns, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives.
- Secure and manage event venues, vendors, permits, and contracts while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to effectively promote events and increase community engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, and key community partners.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist in event execution.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide reports on financial outcomes and impact.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and organizational guidelines.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, preferably within a non-profit or faith-based organization.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience in fundraising and sponsorship development is an asset.
- Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event execution.
