Call for Performers: Apply to Perform at the Voices of Women for Palestine Show

“Voices of Women for Palestine" is a curated creative showcase dedicated to amplifying female voices through storytelling, poetry, comedy, and art.

The show celebrates Palestinian resilience, faith, and personal experiences. It will take place April 4th, 2026 at Meridian Theatres in Ottawa.

100% For Palestine
100% of all proceeds from this event will be donated directly to aid efforts in Palestine through Islamic Relief Canada. By sharing your talent, you are not just raising awareness; you are actively contributing to life-saving relief.

Total Creative Freedom
We want this event to be a true reflection of your perspective. Whether you are an experienced artist or a sister who feels moved to speak for the first time, your voice is welcome. You have the freedom to share whatever you feel moved to.

Examples of what you can bring to the stage:

• Poetry/Spoken Word: Share your own words in a format of your choosing.
• Personal Stories: Share family histories, letters to Palestine, or your own reflections.
• Comedy and Satire
• Visual Arts: Showcase your paintings, photography, or digital art on screen/stage while you explain the inspiration behind them.
• Nasheeds: Vocal pieces (voice or traditional Islamic drum only).
• Dramatic Readings: Monologues, news reports, or calls to action.

Note: For group performances, please have only one person sign up for the group using the Google Forms.

Important Guidelines
To maintain a safe, spiritual, and comfortable environment for all:

1. Women-Only: The event is sisters-only (performers and audience).
2. Voice Only: No musical instruments are permitted other than the traditional Islamic drum, instrumentals that are in the background of a Nasheed may be permitted.
3. All performances must be in accordance with Islamic principles.

How to Audition
We are looking for sincerity over perfection! A simple recording is all we need to see your style. Usually, longer videos will need to be sent through an unlisted YouTube link. Send all submissions to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

• Option A: Send an unlisted YouTube link to the email provided above (Please ensure the privacy settings are set to "Anyone with the link can view")
• Option B: Send a video upload to the email provided above. You may send in a shorter sample of your performance (if it isn't completely ready yet) or you may send in your entire performance, whatever works best for you!

Please make sure you include your name and performance title on your submission.
