March 17, 2025 Statement by the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group

Yesterday, after over seven hours of debate, the Canadian parliament passed a non-binding motion to stop arms exports to Israel.

Montreal, March 18, 2024 — Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) Vice President Michael Bueckert has issued the following statement in response to this evening’s vote by the House of Commons on an NDP Opposition Day motion on Palestine:

Today, as we inch closer to the midway point of this holy month, so many of our hearts continue to ache as the people of Gaza and Palestine continue to face renewed invasion and bombardment.

March 18th, 2024 Justice For All Canada is heartened by the results of today’s Parliamentary support for the NDP motion addressing the Israeli siege and military assault in Gaza.
