This time Hawa Haji is going to university to study social work. Hawa Haji was unable to go to school growing up in Somalia as her father would only pay for her brother's education. But now, she has worked her way through ESL and Adult High School and is ready to take on Carleton University.

Exploring the challenges faced by immigrants and refugees, in particularly the Somali community, Habiba's plays include a mix of comedy, poetry, and Hawa Haji's parodies of hip hop hits old and new-this play will feature a Hawa Haji's take on President Donald Trump, as set to the music of DRAKE.
Hawa Haji is the incarnation of the first generation of Somali refugees to Canada, as seen through the eyes of the second generation, the playwright Habiba Ali.
