Breaking Barriers: Understanding and Overcoming Islamophobia
Held in recognition of the 2017 Quebec Mosque Attack, unpacks the roots of Islamophobia and its impacts. Participants will gain tools to address misconceptions, challenge stereotypes and strengthen allyship within their communities. This session will equip you to tackle Islamophobia by addressing personal and systemic biases and build bridges of understanding across diverse communities.

Foundation for a Path Forward is a national non-profit based in British Columbia with branches across Canada. As the first official faith-based community convener for anti-racism initiatives in B.C., they work in partnership with Resilience B.C. under the Office of the Attorney General.
They offer a solutions-focused approach addresses racism, truth and reconciliation, climate justice, public safety, gender equality, youth development, mental health, and more. Since 2020, they’ve impacted over 950,000 people, built 200+ partnerships, and expanded nationally to foster resilience and inclusivity.
