Support the Say Somaali Community Scholarship Fund

Say Somaali is a Black youth-led, grassroots organization that aims to increase the number of successful and self-fulfilled Somali youth. We believe we can make this happen by providing youth with mentorship from experienced and accomplished members of the Somali community, creating safe spaces where they can build a sense of belonging and connection based on mutual identity and experience, and by providing opportunities for personal growth and development.

To that effect, we have been delivering a culturally responsive mentorship, leadership, and development program for Somali youth in high school and postsecondary in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Say Somaali Community Scholarship:

• Provides financial support to Somali youth for post-secondary education.
• Alleviates financial burdens, enabling them to focus on their studies.
• Validates and encourages academic and career aspirations.
• Empowers the next generation of Somali leaders.

Last year, the Say Somaali Community Scholarship Fund raised $12K, providing life-changing opportunities for Somali students.

This year, we aim to build on that success, and raise $30K.

How to help?

Direct Donation (any amount)

• No amount is too small to make a difference. Your direct donation, regardless of size, contributes to the collective pool that funds scholarships.

Pledge a full Scholarship ($1500+)

• Pledge alone or with family and friends to support a student's education. This one-time contribution covers essential expenses like
  tuition, books, and supplies

Become a Fundraiser

• Join us as a fundraiser and help expand the reach of the Say Somaali Scholarship Fund. Rally support within your network to generate funds.
