
Ottawa Based Muslim Newcomers Needed for "Islamophobia and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Risk and Protective Factors" Research Study
Ottawa Muslim Community Services (OMCS) is seeking Muslim immigrants, refugees, and newcomers in Ottawa for a research study on "Islamophobia and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Risk and Protective Factors."
Goal of the Study: Identify barriers to services and improve accessibility for at-risk groups, while gaining insights on discrimination, Islamophobia, and GBV.
Commitment: Meet with one of our interviewers to conduct an IN-PERSON one-hour survey.
Compensation: Eligible participants will receive a $30 gift card as a token of appreciation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Identify as a Muslim
- Over 18 years old
- Immigrant, Refugee, or Newcomer
- Lived in Ottawa for at least 6 months
- Currently in a relationship and live with your spouse/partner in Ottawa
- Speak one of the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, or Urdu
