Demand Prime Minister Mark Carney and Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly End Canadian Complicity in Israel's Attacks on Gaza After Ceasefire Broken

The U.S.-backed Israeli government resumed intense genocidal attacks on Gaza, breaking the ceasefire and unleashing a massive wave of indiscriminate military strikes across the Strip.

More than 410 Palestinians were killed, including scores of children and women.

The massacre resulted in one of the largest single-day death tolls of the past 17 months. The situation is more than a humanitarian loss.

Elections or not, there's no excuse for Canada to halt its obligations under international law during such human catastrophes.

This massacre was explicitly greenlit by U.S. President Donald Trump, whose administration publicly endorsed the attack. According to Israeli officials, Trump provided unconditional approval for Israel’s latest bombing campaign. The Canadian government has yet to take decisive action. Our country continues diplomatic and military ties with Israel without accountability, including its commitment to purchasing 88 Lockheed Martin F-35 jets, a $19 billion dollar deal. Israel is a key F-35 operator, repeatedly using these jets in its military operations over Gaza.

This callous assault has left Gaza’s medical system in complete collapse. Doctors report surgeries being performed without anesthesia, children dying from treatable wounds due to lack of medical supplies, and families forced to dig through rubble with their bare hands in search of loved ones while overhearing children screaming from beneath debris. The sky was filled with drones, quadcopters, helicopters, F-16 and F-35 warplanes, with continuous firing from tanks and vehicles. Cities across Gaza were demolised—from Rafah and Khan Younis in the south to Deir al-Balah in the centre and Gaza City in the north—resulting in one of the largest single-day death tolls in the past 17 months.

Emboldened by U.S. complicity and silence from allies, Israel continues to act with endless impunity.

Demand Israel immediately halts military operations in Gaza to prevent further civilian killings.

Implement a comprehensive, 2-way arms embargo by suspending military collaborations with the Israeli state and ceasing F-35 jet supplies and parts used to bomb “safe zones” and destroy entire neighbourhoods.

Sanction Israeli officials responsible for unthinkable actions that contravene elementary human rights standards.

Advocate for an end to the illegal and immoral blockade, enable immediate humanitarian access to Gaza, including the provision of food, water, and medical aid.

Allow international monitors into Gaza and Occupied West Bank to protect civilians, especially the children, from extermination.
