Dr. Tarek Younis has a PhD/PsyD in Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He is currently a Newton International Fellow (2017-2019) in London, UK, on a fellowship funded by the British Academy. His previous research explored the religious and national identity development of Muslims in Montreal, Copenhagen and Berlin. His current research explores the impact of counter-terrorism policies in healthcare settings, which the UK government designates a ‘pre-criminal space’. He was previously a consultant for police on Arab/Muslim community issues in Montreal, Canada.
