During the emergency debate in the House of Commons on October 16, I called for a cease fire to protect innocent civilian lives in Gaza. And the voices calling for a cease fire have only grown stronger and stronger.
For over a month, the world has been watching the unfolding situation in Israel and Gaza in shock and horror at the growing number of lives lost and lives torn apart.
On Nov 6th, City of Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley and City Councillors Alison Gu, Joe Keithley, Pietro Calendino, Daniel Tetrault, Maita Santiago, Sav Dhaliwal, and James Wang passed the resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
