Know Your Human Rights: Islamophobia & The Impacts
This workshop is designed to educate Muslim youth about human rights in Canada, focusing on the legal, political, and moral obligations to preserve, promote, and protect these rights. Participants will explore the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, understanding its role in daily life and how it affects Muslim Canadians. The session will also examine the impacts of Islamophobia, discussing how discrimination undermines human rights and ways to combat it. Led by experienced instructors Nawal Tajdin and Shahina Siddiqui, this workshop empowers youth with knowledge to advocate for their rights.
