The Racial and Ethnic Health Working Group at DLSPH is happy to announce its first film screening and panel event!'The Water Project' follows the journey of three Toronto students on their trip back home to East Africa. Here, they document their stories talking with community, local experts and regional governments in finding sustainable solutions for the drought and famine. Their journey provides a grassroots approach to global health, that relates to climate change, water insecurity, the built environment and sustainable development. The film will follow with a panel discussion with the filmmakers and founders of Rootworks. The event is free and open to all!
