IDRF A Night for Gaza with Mehdi Hasan

For two years, many of us watched Gaza through a screen and wondered why so much of the coverage felt wrong.

Mehdi Hasan built a newsroom around that question.

We’re honoured to announce him as the keynote speaker at A Night for Gaza in Toronto.

This October marks three years. The ceasefire has held, but almost nothing has been rebuilt. Fewer than half of Gaza’s health facilities are working, and more than a million people still have no permanent shelter.
And still, Gaza keeps going.

This summer, 98% of Gaza’s registered students were able to sit their exams — in tents, damaged schools, and the rubble of classrooms they once knew.

That is the Gaza we are gathering for.
Not a Gaza to be pitied. A Gaza that kept going. ??
