Fight for Mothers, Protect Yourself: HCI x AMA Fundraiser for Gaza Maternity Clinic

About the Cause

This special event is a collaborative fundraiser by Human Concern International (HCI) and the Academy of Martial Arts, led by head instructor Sensei Salhia — combining purpose with empowerment. Participants will engage in a dynamic martial arts class, where they’ll learn foundational techniques, basic self-defense, and the value of discipline and resilience — essential skills for everyday life.

Proceeds from this class will go toward supporting HCI’s newly established maternity field hospital in Al-Nuseirat, Gaza, a vital facility delivering maternal and reproductive healthcare amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Despite limited resources and border closures, HCI — in collaboration with Al-Awda Association — has begun equipping the hospital using existing warehouse stock and local supplies. In May 2025 alone, over 4,200 women received care, with services that include:

• Normal and cesarean deliveries
• Gynecological surgeries
• Antenatal and postnatal care
• Family planning
• Specialized outpatient services

The hospital also includes two operating theatres, a full maternity wing, women’s accommodation, and outpatient clinics — all ensuring dignified and lifesaving care.
