لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُم
If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.
[ Qur'an, 14:7 ]
We know that Ramadan is meant to increase us in gratitude.
Our dry mouths make us grateful for a simple glass of water.
Our fatigue in Taraweeh makes us grateful for the energy that sleep gives us.
Our rumbling bellies make us say "Alhamdulillah" for our fully-stocked refrigerators.
But gratitude is not just a feeling; it's a springboard. It motivates us towards growth. And growth is how we change our lives, whether it's growing in our faith, in our careers, in our families, or in our own self-improvement. Ramadan offers us a month-long opportunity to pursue both of these essential purposes.
Join us at our Yaqeen Toronto iftar to reflect, share a meal together, and reach more people with the crucial call of Islam.
We are honored to host Sh. Navaid Aziz, our Director of Community Engagement, and esteemed guest speaker Ustadha Razia Hamidi, who will share their insights and wisdom during the evening.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at zahra.hasmani@yaqeeninstitute.org.
We look forward to breaking our fast together and creating an atmosphere of gratitude and growth.
JazakumAllahu khayran,
Yaqeen team
