This delicious Pakistani dinner starts a popular type of chickpea dish known as Chaat. There are a mulitude of varieties. Raabta (which means ‘connection’) does their version with chickpeas, tomatoes and slivered onions with a sweet/sour tamarind chutney and a yogurt and corriander. It just gets your tastebuds rolling. The meat main is roasted chicken in a tomato curry with rice and the vegetarian option is a creamy golden and filling Daal served over rice. Both options come with a seasonal salad. The dessert is a really delicious carrot halva pudding. Grated carrot is fried in ghee and simmered in cardamon cream and topped with crushed pistachios.
