Newcomer Kitchen is a Not for Profit Food Entrepreneurship Training Program for Newcomer Women. Four incredible women who have started their own businesses (and cooking right in the TSP kitchen) are offering the community at Trinity St. Pauls a special offer on four Tuesday nights throughout the Fall Season for pick-up or delivery.
This delicious Turkish dinner starts with an appetizer of seasonal colourful beet hummus with fresh pita bread. The main is an beguiling classic dish called Sultans Tent. Flaky Turkish phyllo dome (a bit more like puff pastry) is filled with either chunks of chicken and rice or vegetables and rice and napped in a buttery bechemel sauce and topped with mozzerella cheese seared under the grill. Both options come with a seasonal salad. Dessert is a luscious light lemon cheesecake with ginger cookie crust.
