Newcomer Kitchen is a Not for Profit Food Entrepreneurship Training Program for Newcomer Women. Four incredible women who have started their own businesses (and cooking right in the TSP kitchen) are offering the community at Trinity St. Pauls a special offer on four Tuesday nights throughout the Fall Season for pick-up or delivery. Here is how it works:
This delicious Iranian dinner starts with an appetizer of a roasted eggplant dip with a treasured Iranian ingredient called Kashk a kind of fermented yogurt. It gives the dip incredible depth of piquant flavour that is addictive. Served with traditional Iranian flatbread. The main meat dish is a classic saffron golden rice studded with barberries and caramelized carrots. The meat version is topped with roast chicken and the vegetarian option is rolled seasoned tempeh balls simmered in tomato sauce. The dessert is a kind of buttery semolina polenta flavored with saffron, cinnamon, almonds, pistachios, coconut and rosewater that is chilled and cut into beautiful shapes.
