Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are essential to the health, well-being, and empowerment of women and girls. Yet many women—particularly Muslim and racialized women—continue to face barriers in accessing accurate information, support, and care.
The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is launching a virtual SRHR learning series focused on the needs and lived experiences of Muslim and racialized women. These sessions will provide evidence-based information, encourage open dialogue, and create a supportive space to learn and ask questions.
The first session will cover key topics in sexual and reproductive health, including contraception, safer sex, pregnancy, and where to access reliable information and support services in Canada. It will also explore perimenopause as a major life transition, including its impact on mood, energy, cognition, and overall well-being, along with practical strategies for navigating this stage of life.
Participants will also be introduced to Action Canada for Sexual Health & Rights and its national Access Line, which offers information, referrals, and support on sexual and reproductive health across Canada.
Join us on Thursday, July 16, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM ET.
