Writing as a wellness practice fosters an intimate reconnection to self, particularly in the form of self-love. We aim to nurture that love within a community setting through a workshop designed to facilitate a return to self under the theme of "Sankofa: to back and fetch it" — May we move forward by first looking back.
In this workshop, participants will engage in reflective writing exercises inspired by the Sankofa principle (which emphasizes the importance of learning from the past to build a successful future), encouraging them to explore their past experiences, learn from them, and integrate these insights into their present lives. This process of looking back to move forward is intended to foster deeper self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
