In continuation and respect for the work initiated by Dr. Samar Zebian, Chapter Two of the Healing & Wisdom Circle brings us together through a shared thread of storytelling and collective reflection.
Storytelling is a deeply rooted practice within Muslim traditions. It is how knowledge has been preserved, carried, and passed down across generations. These lived experiences are not only valid—they are vital sources of knowing, shaping how we understand ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
Within systems shaped by colonial frameworks, we are often conditioned to recognize only a narrow set of “valid” knowledge sources. This circle creates space to reclaim and honour our own stories as meaningful and transformative forms of knowledge.
These sessions will be facilitated by CCMW’s very own Maryam Faisal, Case Manager and Psychotherapist.
You are invited to CCMW’s Healing and Wisdom circle to offer your stories and share experiences about the topic/theme of the week. Engaging in this way will bring forth new ways of seeing, thinking, feeling, and coming into awareness of the threads that bind us together.
