IslamicFamily Bloom & Stitch: Upcycled Denim Garden Wall Hanging

As part of your experience at IslamicFamily, you’ll take part in Bloom & Stitch, a meaningful and collaborative art project that brings our values of community, creativity, and sustainability to life.In this workshop, participants will breathe new life into old denim by transforming it into a stunning flower garden wall hanging that will be proudly displayed in the IslamicFamily space. Through this project, you’ll contribute to a lasting piece of community artwork that symbolizes growth, belonging, and the beauty of reuse.You’ll also learn basic textile crafting techniques such as:

• Cutting and shaping fabric
• Layering materials for texture and depth
• Simple stitching to create blooming flowers, leaves, and garden elements

No prior experience is necessary! You’ll leave with new skills that you can continue exploring at home, along with a deeper appreciation for storytelling through art and the creative potential of everyday materials.While crafting, we’ll engage in conversations around sustainability, personal expression, and the power of community collaboration.
