Sayid Ahmed and his wife reside in Edmonton, Alberta, where they are raising their four beautiful children. Sayid’s life is a testament to dedication, resilience, and a deep commitment to public service. Sayid grew up in Somalia where he experienced the harsh realities of abject poverty, civil war, and famine. Despite these challenges, he never doubted his ability to create a better life for himself and others. His parents instilled in him the importance of personal and social responsibility, teaching him to have hope, work hard, and always hold himself accountable.
Today Sayid holds an MA in Economics from the University of Ottawa and is currently a Senior Director at the Government of Alberta’s Department of Health, where he works tirelessly to improve the province’s healthcare system.
Sayid is a passionate community volunteer. Over the past several years, he has dedicated his time to various organizations, including United Way, Edmonton Food Bank, local Community Leagues, running a free tax-filing services to many seniors, widowed mothers, low-income, and middle-income residents of Edmonton to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
Alongside, Pierre Poilievre, and the Conservative team Sayid will fight to axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime. With your support, he can bring these values to Ottawa and be a strong voice for Edmonton Centre in the House of Commons.
