Hazara Women Organization

Minority Canadians have specific barriers and needs that require tailored solutions.  Afghan women, in particular Hazaras, in Afghanistan and Canada face multi-layered systemic discriminations such as disproportionate access to education, employment, and health services. Hazara Women Organization was created by Hazara women due to the apparent need of promoting social, political, and economic inclusion of women in Canada and abroad.

Hazara Women Organization is certified as a Not-For-Profit Organization by  Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. HWO as per it’s mission statement is currently active in it’s advocacy, private sponsorship, and settlement of vulnerable Afghans.

Women empowerment; inclusion; economic and social equality, advocacy, gender equality, community engagement, multiculturalism, and minority visibility.

HWO was created by Hazara women to promote social, political, and economic inclusion of women in Canada and abroad.
