Shafqat Ali was honoured to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Brampton Centre in 2021. As an entrepreneur, devoted husband, and proud father of three, Shafqat’s journey reflects the values of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. From his humble beginnings to becoming a successful immigrant entrepreneur, Shafqat understands firsthand the challenges that many Canadians face. This experience drives his commitment to ensuring a brighter, more prosperous future for all Canadians.

For nearly two decades, Shafqat has been a dedicated advocate for our community. He has volunteered with youth sports programs, organized cultural festivals, and spearheaded fundraising efforts for local hospitals, food banks, and numerous other charitable organizations. One of his proudest accomplishments was leading the successful campaign to establish the cricket pitch on White Clover Way in Mississauga, a project that continues to serve the community.

As the Liberal Member of Parliament for Brampton Centre, Shafqat brings the same passion, determination, and commitment to his work in Ottawa. If re-elected, he will continue to fight for policies that make life more affordable for Canadians, strengthen our public healthcare system, increase the availability of affordable housing, and build an economy that works for everyone.

Ali has also raised concerns about the challenges faced by families trying to flee conflict zones like Gaza and Sudan, urging greater immigration support and transparency. Domestically, he has engaged with communities impacted by Islamophobia and discrimination, reinforcing his call for respect for human rights.
