About Anatolia Islamic Centre (AIC)
AIC is the first example in North America of a complete Islamic complex. The Centre was established in 1998 to serve the daily religious, educational and social needs of Muslims in the Toronto area.
AIC was organized not only to meet the religious worship services of the Muslim community, but efforts were also made to structure the services in order to meet their daily religious and social needs.
The Centre includes;
A large prayer hall (Masjid)
A modern library suitable to meet today’s information requirements
Religious and Arabic language courses
A youth hall
The Women’s Council
Youth Club
A funeral house
An elementary and middle school (Maingate Academy)
A barber shop
A restaurant offering Turkish cuisine
A market providing a sampling of groceries from Anatolia.
