"Service to Humanity is Service to God (Allah)".
Major Muhammad Abbas Ali (1921-2009) and his wife, Sarwar Jahan Begu (1928-2013), started the Muslim Welfare Center in 1993 to be a center of charity and service to the needy, irrespective of religion, nationality, or ethnicity, and we are overjoyed to see it continue to thrive as an embodiment of these values.
2019 brought about the evident rebranding of Muslim Welfare Center to Muslim Welfare Canada. As we have continued to grow through our expanding programs helping vulnerable families and children across Canada and around the world, we felt it was time for our brand to reflect this incredible growth and change.
