Olive Grove School

The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) working with the Muslim community in the Greater Toronto Area established Olive Grove School (OGS) in 2006. As a full-time elementary Islamic school (JK - Grade 8) and Preschool & Childcare Centre, the facility serves the educational needs of the growing Muslim community. Olive Grove School is a private Islamic School registered by the Ontario Ministry of Education. OGS is committed to providing high quality education that includes and exceeds the expectations of the Ontario provincial curriculum. In addition to daily studies in Quran, Islam and Arabic language, OGS students are encouraged to focus on character building and healthy living. Due to the excellent reputation of the school, its enrolment has grown from 85 students in the first year of operation to 600 students in the seventh year 2012-2013. - Ministry licensed preschool to Grade 8 - Grade 1 to 8 homeroom teachers are members of Ontario College of Teachers - Enriched JK and SK full-day program - Quran, Arabic language, and integrated Islamic Studies program - Built-in enrichment program for all students (EnrichIt!) - Extra-curricular clubs such as art, soccer, lego, karate, boardgames and more! - Active Parent and Student Councils - Social programs such as Orphan Sposorship, Ramadan Food Drive, Tree Planting - Culturally diverse staff and student body - Low teacher to students ratio - State of the art facility
