Salaam! I’m Nadiah!
I am a therapist who believes in connecting with you - first, and foremost at the human level. I approach this work with lots of compassion and a strong focus on honouring your unique context and culture. If you are an individual - I can help you explore your emotions, thoughts and behaviours to identify patterns that are holding you back, and find new ways to move forward. If you are a couple - I can help you navigate communication issues, rebuild trust and resolve conflicts in a healthy way.
During my career, I have worked with refugees, newcomers, students, and Indigenous communities. In addition to my Private Practice, I currently hold a position at the University of Toronto providing counselling and therapy to university students.
I have a personal connection to the challenges that come with navigating new environments and complex identities. As an immigrant myself, I understand how important it is to feel seen and understood. As the saying goes - pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. Let’s work together to feel the pain and let go of the suffering.
