Maple Lodge Farms was the first company in Canada to offer Halal products on a large scale to Canadian Muslim consumers. We have been Halal certified since 1990. The Halal Protocol System, implemented at Maple Lodge Farms, took several months of collaboration between Canadian Muslim Scholars and Dar-ul-Ifta, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Along with Muslim Scholars, Muslim experts and Muslim veterinary doctors also actively participated in the process visiting Maple Lodge Farms and observing the Halal process on many occasions performed various tests during their visits and provided their observations to Darul Ifta, in Saudi Arabia for their consideration. This entire process was reviewed thoroughly and approved by Dar-ul-Ifta, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1990. Since then, Maple Lodge Farms has been serving trusted Halal products with the full endorsement of the certifying organizations. Currently, Maple Lodge Farms’ Halal products are certified by IFANCA (Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America). IFANCA is a non-profit organization based in the U.S. with offices in Canada, dedicated to the promotion of halal food. They have a global presence, certifying halal food products in over 50 countries. Additionally, we continuously strive to expand the endorsements of our products and to maintain close community relationships through many Islamic organizations.
