All Sargent Farms product is hand processed in accordance with Islamic tradition Since 1999 Sargent Farms has been committed to producing chicken at our facility that is exclusively Halal. That means that every chicken is processed by hand to the highest standards and in strict accordance with Islamic tradition. As of February 2013, Sargent Farms has become certified by the Halal Monitoring Authority (HMA) which further reinforces our commitment to the Muslim community. We feel that this certification will instill even greater confidence in our existing valued customers and consumers of Sargent Farms product. Through our process, each individual bird is blessed and processed by hand facing east towards Mecca according to Islamic tradition. The Muslim community can be confident that all Sargent Farms chicken is processed in full accordance with Muslim tradition. It is our commitment and we take pride in making it.
