Shokti: Empowering Bangladeshi Canadian Women

We started this group to bring together women and see where it takes us. We hope you will join us to lead, participate, and engage any way you feel comfortable. Our vision: A future in which all girls, young women and women young at heart are nurtured and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Objectives: To be proud ambassadors of equal opportunity. Civic Engagement: Initiatives to bring our women together to make a difference in quality of life across society, and developing the knowledge and skills, values and motivation to make that difference. Mentorship and Leadership: Filling the gaps in connecting our women between and across sectors and generations, while building leadership capabilities to take our community to the next frontier. Visibility and Identity : If we don't create a brand for ourselves, our enemies will create one for us. Together, we an explore who we are, and use our collective voice to advocate for visibility and for the rich and diverse work of Canadian Bangladeshi women.
