The Friday Collective

A paper goods company that celebrates timeless wisdom. The Friday Collective started as a collaboration between Nermin Moufti and Fareena Chanda. As seekers of knowledge, we encounter wisdom, thoughts and expressions by history's notable figures everyday. As creatives, we are inspired by this wisdom and are inclined to translate it into visual statements. Each piece begins with rigorous research on expressions by great thinkers. The research then informs our studio practice, involving a thorough exploration of different art and design methods, materials and printing processes that best illustrate the spirit of each expression. The artwork we create is not literal, but aims to elicit a sense of discovery and offer a meaningful alternative to those searching for inspirational art. Through our products we seek to revive ancient wisdom, offering an alternative to the mainstream stationery and art print marketplace. To us, art and design is a reflective space, and the work we do is a process of knowing the self in order to understand the world we live in.
