Beauty by Aya

Aya Hamed was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, and currently works as a self-taught Makeup Artist and YouTuber. Growing up, Aya was always interested in the dramatic arts, such as dancing, acting, and singing. She consistently intrigued her family and peers with her talent in visual arts, such as her drawings and makeup application skills. After completing her high school education, Aya was encouraged to pursue a career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician; however, after attaining her diploma, she decided to pursue her dream and enter the world of makeup and fine arts. Aya continuously broadens her knowledge by regularly viewing Youtube Videos and gains much of her inspiration from Makeup Artists such as Samer Khouzami and Zukreat. After posting some of her work on social media sites, she gained much of her recognition through Instagram, where she demonstrates her passion by creating intricate looks. During the summer of 2013, Aya decided to start freelancing in her community, and now travels nationally to beautify women for their special occasions, as she works with different faces to enhance each woman’s individual beauty. Her love for makeup continues to grow, as she updates her knowledge in workshops and experiments with the most up to date makeup products.
