Jeff Leiper, City Councillor Ward 15 Kitchissippi Ward

Councillor Jeff Leiper lives in Hintonburg, just a stone's throw from Wellington Street West, with his partner Natalie, their teenaged son Nick, and a whole lot of records and guitars. Before becoming Councillor, Jeff served as the Vice-President of Strategic Communications, Research and Policy at an NGO, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), where he led ICTC’s policy development initiatives. His work helped establish a strong foundation for policy discussions and advancement of the digital economy agenda in Canada. Jeff has held successively senior positions in the IT industry, including Editor-in-Chief at Decima/Evert Communications, Director of the Yankee research group in Canada, and as Director of Convergence Policy at the CRTC.
