Councillor Jeff Leiper lives in Hintonburg, just a stone's throw from Wellington Street West, with his partner Natalie, their teenaged son Nick, and a whole lot of records and guitars.
Before becoming Councillor, Jeff served as the Vice-President of Strategic Communications, Research and Policy at an NGO, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), where he led ICTC’s policy development initiatives. His work helped establish a strong foundation for policy discussions and advancement of the digital economy agenda in Canada.
Jeff has held successively senior positions in the IT industry, including Editor-in-Chief at Decima/Evert Communications, Director of the Yankee research group in Canada, and as Director of Convergence Policy at the CRTC. He holds Bachelors of Arts in History (Hon.) and English, as well as a diploma in Print Journalism from Algonquin College.
