Rhoda Institute for Islamic Spiritual Learning (Masjid Rhoda) and the Lotus Community Center
The Rhoda was given its name by our Blessed Spiritual Guide and Elder, Habib Umar bin Hafeez, who is a descendent of the Noble Prophet ﷺ. This beautiful name appears with a spectrum of related meanings in many western traditions.
The Rhoda Institute offers classes, courses, study circles and workshops through which you can learn about the heritage of the Last Prophet of God ﷺ. The Rhoda is inspired by the eminent Dar al Mustafa Institute founded by Habib Umar in Tarim, Yemen but speaks to the unique needs of our local community: western, North American, Canadian, Ottawan.
The Lotus Community Corner was established by Sanad Collective in 2015 as a means to practice Sanad Collective’s commitment to the Prophetic pillar of action: sharing compassion. Staffed by one full-time employee only, the Lotus relies on volunteers to take the opportunity to practice the art of sharing kindness and compassion.
