Suradway Parents Association of Ottawa

We are a community-based nonprofit organization focused on creating positive change. Through counseling, recreational activities, and compassionate support, we assist newcomers with settlement, fostering their integration and well-being. Our mission is to empower individuals and families, providing a nurturing environment for personal growth, resilience, and community building.

Our core group of parents in Ottawa initially came together to provide their children with a soccer program. However, their work has now expanded to provide a safe and culturally appropriate space for families and youth from Somali and other East African backgrounds in Ottawa when facing difficult situations.
