Lote Tree aspires to nurture Islamic morals and values in Muslim children through education and social services. Our full-time Islamic school and Montessori boasts high academic standards, a robust character education program, and an integrated curriculum. Our extracurricular programs, including an athletics academy, benefit Muslim children and youth across the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently embarking on a project to build a multi-purpose centre to make our school and community services available to more Muslim families.
Lote Tree's founder, Shaykh Zahir Bacchus, is a well-known community figure, teacher, Imam, and trained scholar. In addition to administering the school, he conducts sermons across the city and regularly holds classes for Muslim adults and families. His passion, and the passion of Lote Tree, is to develop educational and social programs that inspire, nurture, and build Islamic character.
Our goal is to build a facility that accommodates the growing educational, spiritual, and social needs of the Muslim community in Brampton and surrounding areas. The centre will be anchored around the full-time school, with ample space to expand the school's enrolment, but will also boast facilities that will cater to the needs of the broader Muslim community such as a multipurpose hall and athletics facility.
