Humaira Amir is a psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a clinical counsellor registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She graduated from the Adler School of Psychology with a Master of Counselling Psychology. She has worked with children, couples, families, and adults for the past 20 years.
Humaira Amir specialises in treating anxiety, melancholy, school refusal, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress, panic attacks, work-related stress, parenting and co-parenting skills, and relationship problems. Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is Humaira's theoretical orientation. In addition, she incorporates multiple approaches, including the solution-focused approach, the strengths-based approach, and Adlerian theory, into her practice.
