The Islamic school of Hamilton (ISH) was established in 1998. The ISH has developed into a fully functional educational institute, with 170 students currently enrolled. The ISH takes great pride in teaching the Ontario Curriculum, in addition to Quran, Arabic, French and Islamic Studies. The goal of the school is to construct model Canadian Citizens while preserving their Islamic values. The ISH works to create a balanced learning environment for the students that maximize both academic and character development.

The ISH is monitored by the MAH Education Committee. The education committee oversees the overall operations of the school and will respond to suggestion and/or comments about the school. The education committee reports to the MAH Board of Directors.
The Education Committee consists of: Sr. Lubna Sartawi (Chair), Nazli Khan, Saira Waseem, Faria Saeedi, Yousuf Sheikh, Tariq Rahim. The principal of the ISH is a non-voting member of the committee.
